2003 MasterCraft Pro
Trophy Lakes (Charleston , SC)

As my second semester of college finally came to a close I felt an enormous weight lifted off of my shoulders. It was time to get my head out of the books and back onto the water!  I headed down to Palm Beach to train with my coach, Chet Raley, the week before I left for Charleston. My road trip to Charleston started in Orlando where I jumped in a motor home with other tour athletes, Rhoni Barton and Geraldine Jamin. Rhoni’s boyfriend was nice enough to drive us all the way there in his motor home, giving us plenty of good girl talk time along the way! Even though these were the girls I had been competing against, it felt like I was living a dream traveling with two women that I had always immensely admired. In the prelims I did not ski my best, but I made the cut for the next day. In the semifinals I was first off the dock at 7:30 am and knew that I would have to put up a good score to make it in the finals. I went out and ran 38off and got 1.5 @ 39off which tied my personal best. My score sparked a chain reaction and four women after me also completed the 38off pass. I think I can safely say that day was a record breaking day for the women. I can not think of any other professional tournament up to that point that five women ran 38off, and Trophy Lakes is the place where records are broken! In the finals I fell early in the 38off pass and ended up 6th. I was a little bit disappointed with my finish, but I knew that I had the Masters the following weekend so I headed back down to Palm Beach to get back to work.
